Well I came back from a long day of shooting my Mosin carbine... put about 250 rounds in 2 hours with friends and had a great time... recoil basically with the metal buttplate feels like shooting a .223 or less... I can shoot all day... Anyways by the time i got home i realized i ran out of some cleaning supplies for my firearms and it was to late to go to the store........ Well decided to pee down the barrel and clean my mosin... and the rest of the parts soapy water...And lemon oil wipe down on the wood... I wont be oiling it after... just curious if it wont rust till next range session... Guess i took it back old school... :crossedfingers:

Obviously you're kidding but if not you will have a rusty bore shortly.

Are you f***in kidding me? You pissed on your weapon? I sure as shit hope not. If you get stuck here is what you can do. Pour water down the bore, warm as you can find, or if it's cold then use a lot of it, 4-5 quarts. Cut the bottom 1" strip off your T shirt, cut that strip into 2"x2" pieces. swab the water out of the bore, remove the action from the stock and stick it on top of your cars hot running engine for five minutes so it heats up to steam off residual water. Pull the engine oil dipstick and wipe it on a patch, wipe it 3-4 times until patch is very wet with oil. I know the oil looks dirty, but it is still oil and better than what's in your bore, swab out bore, do it again, and yet again, then clean patch, then another oil patch. If your car has an auto transmission then use that dipstick instead. Your rifle has a cleaning rod, I don't like the idea of using them but in an emergency you do with what you have. Take one of the oil soaked patches and wipe down the bolt, and the rest of the rifle's metal to protect it. You don't piss on your f***in weapon unless it's action is frozen shut with ice and the enemy is closing fast, piss is salt water, salt water will rust your rifle real quick not to mention the stink. if you lack a t shirt then cut up your shirt, or the cleanest part of your undershorts. Patch just needs to be thin enough to go down the pipe, any cloth material will do in a pinch so long as it will fold and go in without getting stuck.

I am sure hoping you are kidding here but keeping with JYD's tact I will just say almost any kind of water will indeed work and almost any kind of oil will give protection. Some how I just sort on knew this kind of post would appear here someday :o as nightmares do come true! :lol: Bill

It is obvious that your post is simply intended to get a rise out of folks. The comment about the recoil being less than a .223 , your ridiculous cleaning attempt , and then the ever more asinine comment that you don't intend to oil it only attest to this fact. Are trying to prove your manhood in some strange way? It is not going to work around these parts. What a waste of forum space......

Huh? Get a rise? Im serious the recoil went from being hard to soft cause ive shot so much and indeed does feel like shooting my ar15... I paid $50 for this t53.... This is not my m59/m44/m38/1897 fin and Austrian capture/1917 and 1918 remington and or my m39... I use the chinese as a beater... Shoot lots and lots of rounds through it with a great trigger and awesome accuracy...

Grumpy old man lol... Give me your address i will send you a nice bottle of cognac or whiskey to calm your nerves ;mywink;

C'mon Pureform U been here long enough to know what will piss people off, so go push some crisco, motor oil, brylcreem or sumpin down that T53 bore before it starts to rust. Hang in there buddy everybody screws up now and then, I know i've made at least one or two lame post/comments in the past. :bwink:

Hmmm...I'm curious who, according to you mr. Pureform, used piss to clean Mosins? Russians-Soviets? Finns? Serbs? Chinese? Albanians? Or who?

Your mom let you in the house with that piss smelling rifle? The most smelly smelling WW2 USGI bore cleaner would be preferable to smelling a bum on a four day drunk. As to who used piss to clean a weapon, nobody is the answer, even using it to melt ice was done only in a balls to the wall situation. Who the hell wants to go around with a piss smelling weapon? Being called Pee-Pee boy by everyone who will just assume the piss went into the pants, and not the rifle.

I've thought about pissing on a rifle once. But it had nothing to do with cleaning it. .....I was just...well,...you know....pissed. :bwink:
