I have owned quite a few MN's in the past. The cleaning kits have always had the dual container oil bottles with them.
I just recently bought another MN 91/30 and the oil bottle is a single container with the Izhevsk mark on it. Are these rare? I have never seen a single container oil bottle before.
These turn up with the refurbs from time to time, just another variation, I have had a handful of them show up over the years.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

As I stated before, I have owned quite a few MN's in the past, where you could buy them for $65. Long gone are those days.
Remember when you got everything that was in the crate and the dealers matched the bayonets to the rifles? Sometimes there was a deal if you bought 2 or more and the price went down? Some dealers were known to sell a tin of ammunition at what had to be their price (or at least at deep discount)? The "Good Old Days"
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

Cheapest I ever bought one of the out of the crate refurbs was $55, but I have paid less for issued rifles and some Finn's.

I like that single bottle. I have not seen one yet. My first Mosin was a mint bore 43 Izhevsk for 59.99 that came with a bayonet and a whole bag of the usual accessories. That was from J&G
