Wow, that's the definition of forced matched! I have a feeling you're right...it was re-assembled with whatever parts were left and the inventory must have been getting pretty low. What a gorgeous SKS! She looks great. I love the dark wood and the blueing looks flawless.
Very nice!

Still gorgeous and finely manufactured no matter which way it was matched. X's on a trigger group are uncommon, but I've seen them before (maybe it was yours on SKS Boards?).
The Izhevsk is the cream of the crop for machining and fit. Shoot it, shoot it, shoot it. You can't wear it out in a lifetime!

sometimes mutts can surprise you. I had what the Gov't called a 1950 Tula,it was a mutt, boy could it shoot. No two numbers matched, and the only thing 1950 Tula was the top cover.

Mutt of the arsenal, runt of the litter, It sure makes these warriors easy to choose as shooters opposed to weather it should be a safe queen or not.
M08 I did post it up a few months ago on another board along with pics of trigger guard and mag. I think we can agree that this is a strange mysterious referb.
Double O as you know, our M59's stand ready and willing to the opening of our safes. We shalt not betray !!

This uncommon Russian referb resembles the most popular irises colors of the rough masculine Hall of Fame Romanian SkS. It did lack the most attractive aroma of which these firearms generally contrast before their journey to America. You might also find this breath taking fragrence on the beautiful Baltic Cinnamon tinted feminine population of its country.

I have to admit BAMA, I would take it also. You want my FFL Receiver address? It would make a perfect belated Birthday gift to me.
I would accept it, I mean, I really would.
