Working at a gun shop has it's upside besides being able to fondle all the firearms you can. An long time customer of the shop came in with seven rifles he decide to sell as his interests have turned to urban camping. That is just staying in a 2 bedroom tent that one room is just for his dogs. Anyway, he wants to sell 5 Enfields, one type 99 Arisaka carbine and a 1941 VKT M39. We closed the deal with both sides happy about the deal. As he cleared the door to go to the Camping Is Us sore, Ron my co-worker didn't say a word but just handed me the M39 and said $XXX.XX is owned to my account.
It is a 1941 VKT built on a 1897 Tula receiver. The stock is a post war two piece spliced oil finish in excellent condition. The metal is in 99% blued condition and has a very good bore, the crown is still as blued as the rest of the metal and it looks to have never been fired, the previous owner does not shoot what he collects. It is all numbers matching. I seem to have a run of luck recently on Finns. One earlier this month, this one and one in transit that I lucked in to of Gunbroker. Enjoy the following pictures.
