Judi's week, meeting a member, the Good, The Bad, The Fun,

:soapbox:
.Well, been a very busy week, Well you guys know I have this power that is unleashed through a process that involves a lot of really hard to understand math and physics calculations, and possibly some magic. :biggrin:

First, I been requested not to name HIS screen name (Tim) but his wife Marie said I can use her name,....Why ? We been chatting on the phone, emails, became friends. Was near his town so I dropped by. Planned of course. Met his wife as we both talked on the phone. So we went out shooting,...He was making a video as I was shooting his SKS. I had one of those "slam fire" go off as the SKS was down range no one was hurt. But my to it was my "surprised" reaction and along with words I rarely use. (swearing) :redfaced:

He (Tim) laughed and said not to worry, it was a slam fire, my finger no place near the trigger. End of SKS shooting for the day for me. Marie made a very nice lunch for all of us. Then was my part of the rest of the time, ...An hour or two in my Cessna. :D I inquired if they wanted to have some fun, As I pulled into a sharpe banking turn. Marie compared the turn to a roller coaster ride.

Tim compared it to me being a Stuka dive bomber :brolleyes: . I looked at Marie and said, like roller coasters, she smiled nodding yes :lol: , but hubby did not go on any rides with her. That changed. :thumbsup: Being clear of any FAA routes and clear skys. Judi was going show-off and have some fun.

I climbed as fast as I could and leveled out and dived as I made a hard port bank, then leveling off for a loop. We heard a noise as we turned to look ...Someone was sick :very mad: . Marie said let's do that again, as pleas of no, no, no came out from the rear. I directed him to the , barf bags. As I took us down on a steeper faster dive and hard turn port.

He made many promises to his wife before we landed, guess no Mosin's or guns for the rest of the year. But I did talk her into letting him buy one, only. She took many pictures of the air sick husband. I told him I was going to post them, as his look and beet red face were worth a million Mosin's. But he then counter that he would post my profane surprised at the slam fire on the SKS. :brolleyes: Besides, I don't think JYD or Dolk would let those words go on the site, It was only a few. All in all Tim, Marie and myself had a great time. You have a wonderful wife and a nice Mosin collection along with the other guns. I really like that Colt Cobra thou. Hint Hint... :brolleyes:

Now next, LG...you guys had me all excited to go to one of them. But a disagreement on shipping charges of $11,31 for a three (3) oz package I refused to pay. Immoral shipping charges well they are saying they only charge actual shipping. So much for that. LG will never get my business. Should have kept the lazy, cheating lawyer I was married too. Let him deal with them.

Went to a gun show in another state, my friendly Dep. Sheriff Doug was there on duty . He had a new guy on the job with him. Doug winked at me as I just walked in, this time I had my S&W M-642 on my hip. I seen some nice M-1's way high on the price side. Lots of 54r ammo decent prices too, $90.00 440 rd. tin. A few T-53's at $230.00 :big shock: Seen a 1907 Tula, really sad, bubba tryed to weld a scope on it cut the barrell, looked like he beat the bolt into a curve. with some plastic stock that was camo paint , Yech.

I turned around and the rookie was there, inquiring if I had live ammo in my pistol and why I did not check in. I looked over at Sheriff Doug, he was laughing. I told him that I need not remove ammo from my pistol except for three places. All of them in Washington DC. It had to be his first week on the job. I showed him my work ID got the :beek: look. He seemed very confused. :vconfused:

Just then Sheriff Doug and another female sheriff came over. Doug asked him if every thing was OK? He (new guy) requested I show my ID to Doug, He asured him it was really and all is ok. The female was more interested how I came about my job. I told her a process to inquire about it. Then they will seek you out.

My Mosin crate is full. twenty (20)... Never thought I would fill it. Actually I have 21 Twenty-one Mosins. That 1896 Tula Finn is now the oddball. Been looking at some SVT's, But I going to study up on them before dropping that kind of money. :thumbsup: :) I did pick up a crate of 54r thou. Doug carried out to my car since I did not have my little red wagon. gurn, If I start collecting them, you better have a parachute if you go with me in the plane.

Everyone please do not forget the reason for Memorial Day, Please be grateful to those not with us, they gave all so we can talk today. :thumbsup: Semper Fi my fellow Marines.

My loser brother has another "new" girl friend. He must have found some money. I better check if I am missing anything. :very mad: I think she has more plastic then a arch-angel stock in her. I won't ask where he met her. :brolleyes:

Well thats been my week :) I am taking June and July off ...then I might get sick as August comes up. It sure feels diffrent carring a S&W revolver :popgun: . Been getting alot of target shooting in with it. Was going to get a S&W 19 2" . But I think it was a tad heavy for me.

My pups are doing fine, the new one keps taking my running shoes, along with other things ....Image
I am going to try and meet as many RMNF members as I can this summer. Judi and her Mosin's ;mywink;

Ah my first flight was in a Cessna. Good memories :). Especially when the instructor pilot put me in a stall to see if I'd freak out... Joke was on him :-D.

Now to go clean the cosmoline off the ex-sniper I just got :)

I'd love to go up in a small plane someday. Skydiving is also on my bucket list, but the wife thinks I'm nuts.

Hey Judy if you ever get the chance to take me for a ride you're gonna have to take it easy, but seriously that sounds like a blast. I hate the 11.00 shipping places for a tiny item too. They only ship UPS most likely. Everyone knows small light items go USPS. Glad the pups are doing good, and that your crate is now full. :P

Ah..., another full crate with an outlier... So the 21st is merely the beginning of a new crate the way I look at it :D

Well JYD, maybe you can look for a parachute at the next flea market or make a set of wings. gurn knowing you get car sick I plan on you signing everything you own over to me of I stall the engine and say ....ooops out of fuel. Chuck, I won't do nothing to scare you off, heck I would feel as if I have John Wanye in the plane with me ( Flying Leathernecks) besides you could be my wing man. Russell I would be nice to you also. Jim, Kelly said to have you take out extra insurance, just in case the ticker gives out. She said I could have all that stuff you bought :)

No, I do not want to start another crate, just not now. But I will I want the next batch to be very selective. It is them SVT now that have me running around looking. No sky diving from my town hopper, sorry. I never jumped and hope I never have to. Besides I would not have time to tell you how to strap up as I would be the first one out if the plane dies. :brolleyes:

Yes, dear brother called me today, wanted me to come over for burgers. Tricked me last time he bought White Castles. Besides he would just want to barrow money before I left. I was very upset on the misleading ad they have on the shpping they (LG) . Say actual shipping then add $1.50 for handling. but for a 3oz. pack $11,31 . Not like this is being shipped to China. I should have read the feedback on them, seems they stick it to everyone.

Hope everyone has a safe weekend and enjoy the day. Joe, Semper Fi :thumbsup: Judi and her Mosin's ;mywink;

That may very well be the actual shipping cost, buy shipping UPS on a tiny item instead of giving the postal option is just not good customer service.

Hi Judy,
You shoot and fly! Ah, if I was younger, etc, etc. Anyhow, years ago I was taking glider lessons and I loved 60 degree turns. Once I stalled per CFI instruction in a termal; went up instead of down.
Ah, life is good!

Parachute is not a bad idea Judi, I believe they are made from silk? I can cut it up to make dust shrouds for my antique cars :thumbsup:

Silk is correct, they have used ones at alot of surplus stores near any small airport. They are cheap too. I would not use it to jump thou. Car covers and such :thumbsup: . Also some in colors and designs. Judi and her Mosin's ;mywink;
