I have been looking for an affordable .22 revolver for a long time.. I can't believe how much they bring used.. Anyway I scored this off GB for around $150 shipped. I just picked it up from the FFL today and I am super psyched, it's even nicer in person !! Can't wait to have some fun with it !!
Does anyone know if I can get a .22mag cylinder for this one ??

Apparently it's a EAA EAS (now called the bounty hunter I think), and I just found a .22 mag cylinder for it

I am pretty sure they are made by Weihrauch in Germany. They also sell pistols under the Arminius name.

If you cannot find a magnum cylinder for it try to locate a gunsmith with the tools to convert a standard cylinder. My dad had that done many years ago and the conversion worked like a champ.

I would do some more checking before I put magnums through it. A lot of those German revolvers have a cast frame with a sleeved barrel.

From the outside the revolver looks just like any other revolver. Look at the muzzle and you can see what looks like what it is. A sleeve pressed in to a cast exterior frame. Think about the cap guns you used to play with that somebody put a steel tube in the barrel.

This is a pic from the auction, maybe it will help.. It looks solid to me??
What about the frame how can I tell if its cast ??
I can tell you that someone dry fired it a bunch of times, so much so it would not chamber a round., had to take it to a gunsmith and have the cylinder bores reamed out.. The seller (a pawn shop) said they will make me whole on the cost of repair.. Let's hope.

Touch a magnet to the frame. I think it is possible that these pistols have a zinc frame. The barrel will be steel, along with the cylinder.
