Took out my 1943 Mosin again and did some 100 yard shooting, and I am in awe how accurate this gun is! At that distance the targets are really tiny to the human eye though. I put 100 rounds through it again today, no jams or anything with the bolt. Smooth the whole time. I WANT a PU sniper now so bad! Not one thats been made into one though, I want to buy an original sniper. They just cost so much.
I wouldn't want to be standing out there at 100 yards with you shooting at me! I'd love a real PU as well but haven't been able to convince myself to put out that much money on one yet. I'm still in love with the inexpensive rifles at this point. Only have three that I've spent more than $750 on. One day..

Looks like you got'em. Good shootin.
I felt the same way on the sniper. And since I would probably only be getting one in my lifetime, I went ahead and "invested" in an RGuns Sniper. It's hard to spend that kind of cash. But I think I will look back years from now, and thank myself for doing it.
So if you want one, I suggest you get one while you can.
It took me several years to break down and get one. I thought I just need one. Now I'm rethinking that.
This was just at 50 with the PU using the irons while I was adjusting the scope.

Danman, that is fine shooting, when you consider that the entire light green outer target center at 100 yards is about the exact width of your sight pin in the center of your front globe sight. Not like a modern scoped hunting rifle where the crosshairs are a single thin wire.
That was with my ex-sniper that I put an original PU on. Using 180gr Winchester ammo. That group is 4 rounds, the flyer low is the 5th. The top right group is the confirmation cold bore shots, then I adjusted.
100 yards, sitting on a bench using my pack as a rest. The first paper target, I was all over. I had to add some shims to the trigger, barrel, and mag screws. This target shown is the all post shim shots.
Rebuilt PUs can be just as fine as factory fit PU, as long as they get some TLC and meticulous adjustments.
It's worth the money getting a PU. Mine instantly became my main shooter I take out. I suggest a RGuns one seeing as MOST come accurate right out of the "crate" and you know it's the real deal.
Great shooting BTW
Example of a PU target for me.
