Those look really good! I've been wanting new grips on my Kimber but then I got into this whole "Mosin" thing... The 1911 has only been to the range twice since.

Those look great Fred. My brother spent stupid money on a pair of grips for his 1911 that are made from 10,000 year old Wooly Mammoth. I had tried several different sets of grips on mine but recently I went back to the original Colt grips. Kind of fun playing dressup with these.

I saw pictures of the woolly mammoth grips, nice, but I would put that much more $ towards a gun, not grips. These were not that expensive.

I am the same way Fred. My brother was working at the time in the pawn business and got his set for about a hundred bucks, but he showed me where they sell for 250.00! I gave 35.00 for a nice set of Pachmayr American grips, and then I think I got the above Cocobola grips for 30.00. I have 4 sets of grips and I am done. One thing that I really love the whole package appearance wise is the Kimber Raptor series pistols. I like anything Kimber, but not from anything more than just shooting someone else's, as I have never owned one. I would spend that money on a Garand first.
