My new M44

Ok, it's my first M44.
It's matching serial numbers, except for the buttplate. Barrel is in very good shape.

The first of any milsurp rifle is always kinda special. Take it to the range and make some fireballs.

I'm quite happy with it. The previous owner cleaned it before selling, so it came to me with very little nastiness.
On the other hand, that hasn't stopped me from disassemble, cleaning, and general fondling.
