It's a 1943 SKY marked Finnish M39. Looks like it's a Sako judging from the stock. She's seen some combat it looks like. The stock has quite a few nicks as well as a pretty good size chunk taken out on the bottom part of the stock towards the sling loop.
Any other info you might like to add I love to hear it.
Was it a good friend?? I mean did you kick him in his special place first?? That's a steal of a deal, on a great looking rifle. I live that been there done that look.
If your "friend" wants to sell anything else let me know
Congratulations! Definitely seen some action hasn't it. Mine was 23 rifles after yours. Got the 43 civil guard stock but didn't get a sling. Let us know how she shoots!

SK.Y. is the mark of the Civil Guard. SAKO built M39's for both the Finnish army and civil guard. They are more desirable since not as many were made for them compared for the army. All civil guard rifles eventually went to the army after the Civil Guard was forced to disband at the end fo the Continuation War.
Suojeluskunta or it's abbreviated Sk is the Civil Guard.
