good luck. Try finland. Seems like someone found one...or maybe it was a Swedish disc. I have seen the swede ones for sale.

If you did find one I'd just set it aside with other knick knacks. By not having it, it gives more of a history timeline to the rifle on it being used after 1942 I think is what JYD said.

The missing disk is normal. If you replace one with a random one from a different unit you are basically giving the rifle a history it never had. The very few that are found with a disk present have a history that can be documented more and are highly sought after. If you fill the hole with a random one it would cause confusion to the rifle's true past down the road. I would leave it alone.

The discs were removed in 1942 in order to deny unit information to the enemy should the rifles be captured. Some did slip through

Generally speaking they are easier to find from support units and field artillery than they are from the various frontline combat units (prewar infantry and jaeger units). I personally collect them from the Helsinki Truck Company (H AUTO K) and the prewar Finnish Supply Regiment (HUOLT R). I have encountered some other rare units over the years, with HKK (Helsinki Command Company) being my favorite.

I have an appendix on the various markings, usage, and their meanings in my book.
