Westinghouse M91/30

[Homer2]

This is a not so run of the mill Balkan M91/30. This one started out life as a Meriden produced Westinghouse M91 and was later converted to M91/30 by some Balkans country most likely. No way to prove it for sure, but it is similar to the late 90's early 00's Balkan import M91/30s. The rear sight base is soldered on, and the front sight has a sleeve with the base attached. the barrel was turned down for the sleeve and will work with the 91/30 bayonet. There was another 20's Tula 91/30 on Gunbroker that had been converted the same way last year. There wasn't a big program for upgrading M91s, and this one appears to have been a combination of both excellent machine work and really rudimentary parts construction. The front sight seems to have been made by elves, but the sleeve on to mount the front sight globe is very well done. Enjoy and I have some more to come.
