[quote I mentioned to my wife that i had seen one she took it upon herself without telling me to meet up with this guys and get it she was positive it was mine too only had been stained it isn't but still amazing she did that for me."
NEVER EVER, ALLOW YOUR WIFE TO MEET UP WITH SELLERS OF GUNS W/O HAVING ANOTHER PERSON THERE W/ A GUN THAT KNOWS HOW TO USE IT! That scenario could have proved very dangerous for your loved one.
There are too many horror stories in the news about those kind of situations.

I am glad you found another one. You have a pretty cool wife to meet the seller by herself.

She's a keeper... The wife... And the rifle... But mostly the wife.

Like JYD said, these were a decent quality and affordable rifle that was popular back in the 1970's and early 1980's. I think they came in both flint and cap lock, and there was a pistol version that used the same lock - I had one of the pistols but sold it about 10-12 years ago.
CVA also imported these rifles and sold them as their "CVA Kentucky" back in the 1970's. I still have one in .45 cal. cap lock that's in the original box around here somewhere - as I recall it's unfired. I'll dig it out and post some photos when I get the time.

Thieves broke in and stole your rifle, but in the end it worked out good. You have a wonderful wife. Congrats on a really nice replacement.
