Which recoil pad is better Pachmayr decelrator or Limbsaver

Post by billybob123 »

I am going to be getting a couple of slip on pads for my old 1100's and want to know what is better the Pachmayr decelerator or the Limbsaver. I want slip on's so I can remove them when I feel like it. Never had great luck with the permanently attached ones.

Whichever is cheaper. I have one of each and never could tell a difference .
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Doesn't the Remington 1100 already have a permanent recoil pad? As for the slip on pads I agree with Millman, they are about the same. I would be more concerned with the color that looks best.

Haven't tried the Pachmayr pads but I do have 2 Limbsavers slip on types that I love. 70% less recoil so I can shoot all day long now. An unset broken shoulder 20 plus years ago will not allow me to shoot any surplus rifle more than a few times without the pads.
They're $22 at my local Walmart ( sorry ) I work 6 days a week so it's the only place I can shop.
