oh boy......

Post by jimpierce7 »

This would be too cool if I could swing it. A Savage-Springfield model 120 single shot in .22 cal rifle. Just like my first rifle! I know now it wasn't new when I got it for Christmas 1973. But I loved that gun.

Refinished, but he wants to trade it for a Mosin.

I know I have several or more Stevens .22's, but I don't think I have that exact model.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

I was at a pawn shop with a ton of those old single shot .22's for around $100 or less.. I'm sure the same model was marketed under different companies, as that seems to have been the norm back then..

One thing I remember most is o hit anything I could see. I got pretty good at holding round D's in my mouth for a single shot version of rapid reload.
Sad part is I have no idea what happened to it. Parents may have sold it after I went in the Navy.

F***in little airplanes in bad weather, why not just down a whole bottle of pills, it would have been easier. The Big Bopper was just riding the wave, but Buddy, and Ritchie, they would have stuck around for the long haul.

It is amazing how a post titled "oh boy" brings us back to our youth. Al tho we lost Buddy, Richie and the Big Bopper back then, they were still some great times.
