Remington 03A3 question

I picked up a really nice 03A3 a few months back for $450.oo. Only set back with it was some Buba as usual drilled 2 scope mount holes right in the receiver.
They've been covered by screws and looks not to bad but it still bugs the crap out of me...
I see other nice unwelded receivers with bolts for sale from time to time for about $130.oo
Would you recommend replacing it or just let it go as it is ?
Thanks

I would ignore the holes, otherwise the rifle seems to look just fine, the old saying of if it ain't broke then don't fix it. A couple of small holes don't mean broke, and will not cause any safety problems.

Good advice, I'll put it to use.
I love the rifle after adding a taller front sight, It's growing on me the way it is so it will remain the same.

Keep it and find another that doesn't have the drilled holes :D

Looks nice. Price was good.
I'm a shooter, not a collector. My 1903A3 is a Remington, 1943. It has the bolt serial number electro penciled on which I have been told indicates it's a Greek send back.
It most likely has not much collector value, but that's OK with me. She's mine!

Spending more money on this gun by replacing the receiver will never make it anything more that what it is, a parts assembly.

If you'd like one that is arsenal assembled, spend a couple hundred more, and sell the drilled gun.
