Wow, sounds like it. You could hip shoot that closely at 50 yards :)

Glad you got it sighted in.

The single most valuable tool an SKS or AK owner can posses!

I had to file my tool so it would work for the windage to line the hole up. And at that, The tool still wouldnt move the sight pin or whatever you call it. Anybody ever experiance this problem ?

Oh yes! I had one that worked perfect and lost it. I have bought two more in the last two months and have the same problem as you. The frame is too thick to work, period. The cheap NCstar are the worst of the worst. I have another that is an unnamed Chinese and it is no good either. Think I need to bite the bullet and pay for a Tapco one. They look to have the thinner frame like my old one.

I may take a big course file to one of these first and see if I can get the proper alignment thickness. If I had a dremel, I could easily grind it thinner in only a few minutes. Hey, I know, lend me yours BAMA.

Edit: You have to file it on the flat side and the top. Then the hole side may align with the sight cross bolt and allow it to move. If I can't hand file it enough, I will buy a Tapco. Without one of these, we are screwed as far as any sight adjustment.

Yeah and to adjust the elevation some tools are to fat to fit in the top hole and some are to big to turn the sight. I must have 6 tools in my range bag. 10-4 on the the dremel. And a big 10-4 on the WD 40..

If the site is stuck and you are certain that is the problem, I would use PB Blaster.
It will break things loose far better than WD.I would not have believed it until I took others recommendations and tried it. I also will pull crap loose from a
non-chrome lined barrel if there is any residue left in there that Hoppes #9 doesn't show on a clean patch. Wet the barrel down good and leave set for 48 hours. If anything is left, you will see there is on a clean patch. OO

The Yugo SKS rifles require a different front sight pin tool than the other SKS rifle. It seem the Yugoslavians beefed up everything on there SKS. Anyways I solved that problem by replacing both my front sight pins with the TechSight Target pin $7 shipped to the door.
