success on last day of the mn rifle season

Post by Dan4good »

i shot this huge doe yesterday morning at 7:16 am with my savage 3006. the tree tried to save her but my fusion 165 grain bullet went right through it and her. We paid to participate in a biggest doe and biggest buck contest befor season opened and i had this weighed and she weighed 120 lbs gutted and put her in first place second is at 107 a mn adult doe average weight is 100 to 105 so theres a good chance ill win the pot. This is by far the biggest doe ive ever shot. Ive had a great 2013 season so far with 3 deer so far and still have muzzleloader and rest of bow season left.

What were you using? A 20mm with explosive tip? :vcool:
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Let me make a short, open, blanket comment. There are no good guns. There are no bad guns. Any gun in the hands of a bad man is a bad thing. Any gun in the hands of a descent person is no threat to anyone--- except bad people. -- Charleton Heston

Guns are not good, they are not evil. Save those descriptions for the people holding the firearm. -- Unknown
