Finned 1915 Peter the Great

Here is my newest acquisition, a 1915 Peter the Great (Tula) that has been gone over by the Finns. All parts appear to be from Tula other than the rear sights which are from Sestroryetsk. The receiver tang also matches Tula 1915 and there is a metal shim under the barrel. The stock is Finnish along with the sling hardware and still shows the maker's mark clearly. The bolt serial matches the barrel though the mag and butt plate have no numbers. This one also sports two SA stamps, one on the rear left near the receiver and then another on upper right. There is also the Finnish "D" stamp on the stock and on the barrel. The cleaning rod is missing and there are some dents and dings in the stock but overall she looks pretty good for her age. There is little to no rust and the barrel looks great with deep rifling. Here are some pics :D

The imperial eagle has not been scrubbed but I cannot make out what the stamp under it is. It does not look like the "P K" proof mark but more like 2 X"s that are joined on the top middle. Any ideas?

This is the perfect example of what kind of rifle gives me that thrill running up my leg. The same feeling Chris Matthews gets about Obama :chuckles: Simply beautiful! Congrats!!!

I know the feeling !! Thanks for all the comments y'all. I was really happy to add this one to the collection. This is my first M91. I told myself I was going to get a M39 next but then I found a triple date 91/30...and then I found this one... so yeah, next is an M39 ! I guess that's the beauty of mosinitis, there are just so many options out there. :P
