Couple of bass pictures

I figured I would post a few shots of days past chasing largemouth and smallmouth bass. Nothing to brag about this year, but I've only been able to fish three times because of the weather. I have a big four day family fishing trip coming up this weekend, so hopefully I'll catch something brag worthy to post.
I'm a catch and release fisherman. I don't like to eat fish, but I love the hell out of catching them. That said, I don't have a problem with someone catching a mess of fish to eat. The largemouth pictured ended up getting filleted for my Grandmother. The fish was gut hooked, so I knew it was best to take it to Granny instead of letting the turtles feed on it.
The smallmouth bass lived to see another day. It was like hooking into a bullet train on that one. I've caught my share of nice smallies, but that one had my heart pounding from it's taildancing across the river in current on 6 pound test.
