Where Can I Find Information On Barrel Markings?

Post by Josh Smith »

Hello,

I'm interested in what these barrel markings mean:

Now, I probably should get better pics, but this is what I got when I took it apart the first and only time.

Help would be appreciated, and maybe an online resource..?

Thank you,

Josh

Most of them are hust inspection markings Josh, some are known, I will try to find you the link I had once I get home tonight. The little quarter moon stamp is of course the Turk marking.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.
