I bought my first 91/30 about three weeks ago cleaned her up and shot it I love the gun, The thing is I have always heard that Mosins are habit forming.
I have no desire for another.
I have purchased two spam cans of fun and am looking for a third at a good price ($100 or less)
What I need to know is;
Is it possible to be Mosin-monogamous?
Is this something I need to see a gunsmith about, or maybe a C&R lic holder about?
Is there known cure?

I have been married to the same woman for near 42 years, so it may just be a character trait.

You need to have a look at the finns. I dare you to buy one finn and not any others...

If you are a Collector and have a passion for Collecting then you will want to buy rare and unusual Mosin's , I shoot all my gun's , some only Once then they go into my Glass cabinets for my own pleasure .
I also Collect Stamps / beer mats / GOLD $ Silver and " My Wife say's " CRAP , but I love it all

I go through fazes with C&R guns. One year it may be mosins, one year it may be something else. Last winter happened to be mosins, and I'm sure zeebill, and his buddy Kevin are happy too This summer was Swede mausers, and a random Star model B. This winter I'm not sure what the kick will be. It takes a few gunshows for me to see what is on the market to get in a groove

The time between getting infected and showing symptoms is called the latent period. Sometimes the latent period is short; sometimes it lasts a while. I guarantee when you see a nice Finn or a reasonable M91, the full blown symptoms of Mosinitis will hit.
Remember they guy in alien seemed normal for a while, then.....

You may be close to the truth.
I was at a gun show last week and there was a sniper in what looked to be good shape I walked by then backed up and picked it up shouldered it paused and returned it to the table. moved on but looked back twice all the while contemplating. But the price was $680

You did good in passing on it. Unless the seller didn't know what he had, it was likely to have been a put together rifle using Russian parts but not a true sniper. That or it was one of those Molots that hit the streets earlier this year.

Don't think you are out of the woods yet. I kept my first 91/30 for a year. Never looked to buy another. Then I applied for my C&R. Now slowly worked my way up to 20.

Nope, nothing at all, having no desire for another is a good thing, it just helps reduce the buying competition a little

You haven't found one that says, "BUY ME", it will happen, when you least expect it.

Hey Grease, I went to a show this weekend and didn't buy a thing! I've had the shakes every sense.
