Found another but it needs a part

If it fires black powder, it is discussed here.

Found another but it needs a part

Post by warhawk77 »

So looking around at some pawn shops yesterday I found a pietta pistol that look to be in nice shape other than missing one screw. The screw that holds loading lever to the plunger is missing so you can't load balls. I'm thinking screw will cost $5-10 plus $10 to ship so $20 total to replace. I'm going to ask that amount off their asking price, but do you think that is enough to cover the replacement?

There isn't a model on the pistol but I'm pretty sures its a spiller 1862 like this one http://www.cabelas.com/product/Shooting ... t104503680

Thanks

Dixie Gun Works should have anything you need to get this one working if you get it.
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

Pics would help.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Well I went in today and picked it up.

Got it for $125 and I already found a replacement screw. I repair copiers and looking in my old box of screws I found some with machine treads and color.

Yeah it looks to have never been fired. I offered $125 and the said yes almost before the words left my mouth. Should have offered $100 but I would have been happy at $150

It has Navy arms ridgefield NJ on the barrel I'm guessing they are just the importer.
