Thompson Center Arms Hawken freed from layaway!

If it fires black powder, it is discussed here.

Thompson Center Arms Hawken freed from layaway!

Post by ponycarman »

I was able to set my muzzleloader free from layaway today. Yay! Can't wait to shoot this thing. The blueing is pretty nice. Stock has a couple minor scuffs but nothing bad. There is some rust but nothing that looks too bad  . The rust is in where the nipple screws in and in the barrel. Nothing heavy though so it should clean up just fine I think. The set trigger is nice. Very light. I found a cap still stuck to the hammer lol. And apparently the shop I bought it from hasn't sold very many black powder firearms. I had two people try to get me to fill out the transfer paperwork lol. Then another employee spoke up and told them .

Pic time!

Very nice, a cap on the nipple? Did you stick the ram rod down the barrel to make sure this isn't still loaded? Great looking rifle :vcool: :vcool:

Yeah I checked. The cap wasnt on the nipple. Just stuck to the hammer all blown out of wack.

My phone yet again posted two of the same topic :vsad:
