Ammo is cheaper now than it has been for a couple of years. That shop is gouging.
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I just ordered another case from the Armory. $166.75 for x54R shipped/Florida. Others had a lower listed price, but beat you up on the shipping. About one more case under my belt and I will be fixed until they plant me. When I get that last case I don't care if it goes to $5.00 a round for the rest of you guys, cause I will be fixed. :D

$10/20rds of surplus is way too high. You can get it cheaper online.

Prices are lower, but still much higher than they were in '05, they will be staying there, still .50 a round is a bit much for surplus that isn't from a US arsenal.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Got a case from them last week. Sweet deal, and cheaper shipping in state. :toast:

Look here http://www.russian-mosin-nagant-forum.c ... f=30&t=485 for some more info. on these before you order. Depending on where you are the shipping can be a killer. The-Armory is in Virginia Beach so they're good for the east coast but if you're midwest or further west the shipping from them is a killer. I know because I'm in Louisiana and they charged me about $32 to ship a case earlier this year. The-Armory and SGAmmo have the best deals going for 54R surplus right now. SGAmmo only charges $26 shipping to anywhere but they're about $4 more a case so check shipping before you order. There's links to them both here. http://gun-deals.com/ammo.php?caliber=7.62x54R

Cool! Va. Beach is only a few hours drive from my house. I can drive up there and load up the bed of my truck with ammo and save on the shipping. Great prices too. Now I can afford to shoot my Carcano M91 and my Lee Enfield! Thanks!
