Very cool SVT! Couldn't have been many of the Finn capture imported into the US. Nice find!

I think there must have been maybe some thousands exported as Finns captured over 15 000 SVT-40s during the Continuation War. Numbers of serviceable rifles dropped during the war and after the war quite a lot, but there must have been good number of rifles left to export too.

Per Vic's article, it says approx 15000 SVT's (both 38's and 40's) were captured and about 10000 complete rifles were made from those. I doubt the full 10000 were exported to the US, but I'd consider less than that as the maximum after attrition. While I consider Finn captured SVT's to be uncommon, you see them for sale all of time.
For rarity on the Finn captured Toks, you may want to look for an SVT38 as well as '40 and '41 Factory 460's

So the original number is roughly 15,000 explains why they are fairly uncommon and hard to come by.
Thank you, Bugelson!

So down to 10,000 and didn't many of these end up in Canada and how many stayed in Finland? Subtracting SVT38's dimminishes whatever number further? Are we looking at maybe less than 5000?
