The Russian Mosin Nagant Forum

So as some of you are aware, I bought a Molot 91/30 PU sniper recently. And of course Molot does not come with certain essential accessories. So I checked out our sponser Liberty Tree Collectors and found what I needed! A sling and an ammo pouch. I requested a khaki sling and I have to say, LTC delivered with spades! This sling is a beautiful 1948 dated and unissued khaki sling. I could not be happier as with the lone exception of Wyatts 1940 Tula 91/30, I always get green ones when I buy. Not a bad thing, but variety is nice. The second item was the ammo pouch. I actually did not need one, I have alot. But not like this, and I am surprised none of the members here or elsewhere snagged it earlier. It is the WWII leather variety and pretty uncommon to stumble across. I just happened to see it while looking for the sling, one in stock, and I thought no way, but it popped into my cyber cart and floated to my mail box today. Am I stoked? Yeah.

Anyway here are some pics...............

First the details of the sling................

Love the 1948 date!

Next will be the ammo pouch........

I got to say, given the voracious Mosinitus amongst the members of this board, I can not believe one of you had not already snagged this!!

Thanks for sharing in my enthusiasm today gents, and hopefully the pics on these will help with others identifing early Mosin gear.

Nice!!! Looks like the ammo pouch may have seen some use and I like the tan sling.

Love the tan sling! Congrats!

Sweet!

You were just lucky I didn't see the pouch... I love these guys I just need to hit the lotto so I could buy at will....I sugesst the SA marked ammo can..they are sweet and look nice with the mosins...

Congrats on two good scores! I am also glad to hear that Wyatt has his own 91/30.

He got it about a year ago. Has a nice stash of Czech low recoil ammo as well.

BTW Liberty Tree has Soviet Naval Infantry slings on their site today. Says only several in stock. I just ordered one, and it is a neat variance to have on hand for those who do not already have one.
