I had been hunting around for a hex receiver for a while because all my other Mosins are round receivers. I ran across this one at a pawn shop in a nearby town and it was dirty and rusty. I passed on it that day but kept thinking about it. They were asking $180.00 for it. Went back two days later and got it for $170.00. This one was manufactured at the Tikka Arsenal & has the blade style front sight. There was a bit of surface rust but it came off relatively easy.

I understand that the Finns only produced the Mosin Nagant 91/30 for two years (1943-1944) at Tikka. Production in 1944 was only about 9000 rifles.
