Gettysburg, the four hour version.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

The quest to make money probably pushed the idea along, I hear his wife at the time was not very popular on the set.

I just watched both Zulu Dawn and Gallipoli the other day. After seeing Zulu Dawn I wanted a Martini Henry and knew why the British 30 years later practiced drills like the mad minute. Gallipoli was simply a tragedy.

im to lazy to read the other 3 pages so im going to ask. How would they be using PU snaipers in Stalingrad? It was in 1942 and they showed vasilli using one as early as the beginning of the movie. PU were only made after 43 though weren't they?

Ted turner also ponied up the entire budget for Gods and Generals. I got to see some of the filming of it, some of the film was shot just a few miles down the road from me and some a little further away at Virginia Military Institute. The office machines, fax machines, copiers and such used during the filming near me and the filming at VMI were supplied by the office supply shop my father runs.

Watched Enemy at the Gates on Netflix last nite. Haden't seen it since I became infected with "mosinitis".

Wasn't expecting anything to be accurate re: what rifles were available when. I was just expecting to see lots of Russian soldiers and tons of MNs.

However, the MN used in the scene of Vasili as a kid with his grandfather really stood out. Did I see correctly? That was an ex-sniper right?

Cheers !!
