Re: Parkerized 90/30 Ex-PEM Sniper and Bayonet
What is the price on these patronized rifles? I had asked earlier and deleted my post because I didn't have my words in order. Nobody has said whether these are priced like other refurbs or if they are getting a premium? Other than Racerguy seeing one for 79.99. How much are the rifles from Family Firearms and Finishes? Are there any more available?

I believe I read they were $165.00.bunkysdad wrote:What is the price on these patronized rifles? I had asked earlier and deleted my post because I didn't have my words in order. Not the only parkerized RGUNS that was ever observed, racerguy.racerguy00 wrote:This thread has become a bit testy. I hesitated to even post this because of the lack of photographic evidence.
Two years ago or so the friendly counter guy at Dunhams asked me about an 'oddball' that was on layaway for 79.99. It had typical refurb stamps, but the barrel and receiver looked exactly like the posted rifles. It was an R guns import, the import stamp wasn't covered up, and there was grease on everything. I had never had seen another mosin like it until Zeebill's 07 carbine, and the rifles posted here. A rough, dull greenish gray finish. Wish I had a photo.
Here is a link to show another phosphate finished M91/30 from RGUNS. See Clayshooter's relpy.

No words of wisdom come to mind at this time....

Martin besides the M39's with the mystery finish I have a couple of other rifles with what looks to be some kind of Parkerizing finish on them and they too have been here for many a year. It indeed looks to be phosphate of some kind but I will call them parkerized for that is the proper generic name for them. These of course like yours came as an anomaly in quantities of one. I will again point out the prices we see quoted for rifles to dealers are not written in stone and often a dealer will be offered a case with damage for pennies on the dollar. This gives a dealer much more ground for profit and putting more money into them and still profiting. No suggestions meant here just facts for use as a base to brain storm from. Bill

The one I observed looked exactly like clay's but I can't recall the date.
Dunhams doesn't take trades or returns so the rifle I saw came from rguns directly.
