I picked up some cordite ammo 3 years ago ... and fired it before I found out what I had. Now I wish I would have never fired it! I picked it up at the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot in 2010 ... box of 20 rounds for $10.

This one is near and dear to my heart . Got this from a fellow out west and we have become good friends. 1922 Enfield Mk V Trials rifle . 20,000 produced. I've only seen a few of these and , not bragging , this is the nicest I have seen . I am very fortunate to own her.

Looks good Brian. What are the details?
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Recently I lucked into a pair of No4 MK2's. Both appear to be unissued...one out of the wrap and one still in the wrap. Oh...consecutive serial numbers.

Here is the auction pic.

Thanks, redspoon.

I don't think I'm going to shoot either. Probably give one to each of my sons ;)

Thanks, Grease.

I do have a thing for the MK2's. Last year I glommed a '57 MK2 that is kind of an oddity.

Not certain why a late MK2 would need FTR'ing in 1957

Here's the only ones I have. Most are Australian, but still of "British" descent. 8-) The No4 Mk1's are Longbranch and Savage. The No1 Mk3's are all Lithgows.....IIRC and I can't remember where the No5 Mk1 is from. Guess it's time to get "reacquainted"
