IO = Royal Tiger

They still send the same people to shows they go to and appear to have none of the non-redeeming graces that IO sometimes had. Cabel's has an add out now for the Mosin Sniper for $499 out the door. I wonder if they are real. The Molot snipers appear to have been real. My God who knows these days as there are so many sources of what appear to be real. I am so glad I got mine years ago and frankly cast a jaundiced eye on anything around now for I feel that overseas sources have begun building things for todays market over here and nothing now can be trusted! Good Luck Steve! Bill :?

I have abandoned the notion of the sniper for the time being. I have developed a strain of the Finn Flu and will remain with the current treatment for a while.

:thumbsup: :thumbsup: Excellent idea :)
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

I am guided by an article in Shotgun News by one of their regular article writers that MOST if not ALL of the Mosin snipers now being offered by the big gun houses are newly made fakes. They are made in Russia or perhaps Ukraine, but real originals are rare and and not part of the mass shipments coming into the country now. I am not interested in getting one due to the price and the very real possibility of being a fake. Unless the gun has some good provenance, and is given a good pedigree by a real expert, I would avoid them.
