Welcome to the forum haldir, yes, you will find that excellent shooting trait exists in many Finnish produced Mosins, not just the M39's. The Finns put much more stress on individual marksmanship than the Soviets did, and the Finns provided their riflemen with the tools to do the job. The Soviets with their huge army's went more for speed of production, huge numbers of rifles that can shoot 4-6 MOA were good enough. You will find that wear is a factor, some Mosins have seen a bit more life than others, I have shot Soviet refurb 91/30's that were 2 MOA at 100 yards shooters with commie ammo, and I have shot a 1927 issued updated dragoon rifle with no shellac on it's stock ,and worn bluing that shot 1.5 MOA, luck of the draw with Soviet weapons.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.
