I guess that would make me a casual collector. Nevertheless, I am a frequent shooter, and that is the great thing I find about these guns. They are relatively inexpensive, so I can have a couple of shooters (the '43 Izhevsk M91/30, for instance) and not worry about wearing them out. In additon, I can have a few "collectors" that I don't shoot. That works for me, besides, I have run out of room and if I collect any more, I may be run out of the house by the other half. I don't want to see my s**t on the street one day when I come home from work one day; hard to take this late in life. :paranoid:

I only have a little over a hundred, the bulk of my collection is made up of other milsurps US, French, British, Austrian, Canadian, Indian, Nepalese, Chinese, German, Italian, Spanish, Australian, South American, Turkish, Persian, among others and my commercial arms of course.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

If you know how many Mosins you have You need more yet! I have six safes full and one safe actually holds over 100. The electric bill to run just the golden rods is high enough without adding in the security systems. I must take a picture of the gun lodge someday I guess. Bill :)

How many? A few more than my wife thinks I do. Then again, they are all just smelly old guns to her.

Hey now, not "just" a plain refurb. It was some poor farm boy's lifeline.

I have two 91/30s BTW.

That's a good question, I'll have to check my records and get back to you. Off the top of my head two 91s, a few ex-dragoons and according to my wife more than enough 9130's. :chuckles: At least one ex-sniper and a PU sniper. 1 M38, 2(?) m44's, a couple of m44 barreled actions and a few Finns.
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

I just have two but wanna get more including an m39 which I cannot find anywhere around me. It makes me sad cause I would probably get rid of both of mine to get one well maybe not the m44.

I picked up a magazine at a gun show once because it was cheap, and neither I nor anyone there knew what it was. Turned out to be a Lahti-soloranta mag.
