I love the performance numbers fps, ftlb, hp, 0to60 and the carbine never rang in. My carbine got lost in the mail (delivered to my road side mail box) and I told DCM and they sent me another and about three weeks later the first one showed up. Of course I mailed back the second one, of course... but never was a fan and don't understand any fascination past handy.

Carbines are popular with US gun buyers, they always have been, any carbine. Just look at the most expensive Soviet Mosins today, the M44, M38, M91/59 and so on, try buying any Mauser carbine, Krag carbines, Enfield No5's, it doesn't matter, carbines are in the most demand and command premium prices. The carbine shoots a pistol type round, has the 44-40 Winchester ever gone out of style? Nope, you can buy a house in some places for what some Winchester lever guns go for today, and with some exceptions they are all carbines.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
