1916 Winchester 1895 Musket / Russian Contract
Re: 1916 Winchester 1895 Musket / Russian Contract
Wow that is an unreal price! I could not ever conceive of paying that price no matter whose collection it came from! I have also found out the hard way big time collectors do indeed sell off their less than right guns at times and we the masses will sometimes by them figuring they got to be the best because they came from so and so's collection. You will often find the seller has kept the great one and sold the so and so one. My problem in selling duplicates is often I don't have a lesser one as each and every one is unique so I have a tough decision to make. I have had 4 P series rifles for 5 or more years now and I can not for the life of me pick one to sell? Mean while I ain't getting any younger either!

Well Bill it's amazing what the right light and good glasses can do for you, while reorganizing one of my gun safe to make room for the 1895 I spotted something on my reciever I hadn't noticed before.

Or let me show you it blown up.

Yep the [XM3} stamp. What is amazing is it doesn't show up under bright lights, the glare off the reciever negates it, but under 2 60 watt ceiling fan bulbs it jumps off the reciever.
