$259 for a SVT-40? :beek: Man, around here, you better have a grand on you just to go look. The one I am looking at is in the $800 range. I agree with you though, I am partial to the carbines. I sort of want to get the SVT-40 while I have a chance though. They don't seem to be common around here and this may be my only shot in the near future. It would be a safe queen. Its just one of those I want and one happened to show up!

I had a friend up in Alberta I lost touch with. She and I would often discuss prices of things here versus prices she paid in Canada. Is it true you guys buy milk in bags? lol, I gave her a hard time about that for a long time :)

It doesn't matter if cigarettes are $6 or $7 a pack if SVT's are under $300!

There's bag milk in the East. All I've seen out here is in plastic jugs. I think cigs are over $10 now. Not sure though.

Check this guy out,he has some good pricing.

Heh, that's like site I posted a few months ago that had SVTs for $249.99 and Sino Soviet SKS's for like $74.99. They also had some ammo I'd never heard of. Like Mesko Polish mil-surp 7.62x39 steel cased ammo. What a tease. http://shop.moregunssupply.com/Tokarev- ... p_352.html

Nice SKS Cliff. Once I heard you had a SKS it wasn't hard to find it. Mine is like the one in the GB add, 51 Tula refurb, painted receiver and bolt, and a solid wood stock, nice darker red. Oh I would sure give you a 10 on that one. Safe Queen? Not gonna shoot much? That does not compute!

Wolfy is so excited he is shaking as if he had just swam the Missouri River. Now, if he could just find
an authentic Russian Canine scabboard for it!

What? I need a scabbard now?! Sure, now you're gonna tell me that's the expensive part! lol

Russell, I will shoot it of course, bought some ammo even lol. But I plan on getting an "everyday SKS" for my shooter and keep this one around as a beginner collector piece :) It doesn't have a chromed bore and I don't want to shoot it too much. Of course, if any forum guys head up or over this way, or if I take with me to meet up with any of you all, we'll burn enough ammo to melt the barrel!
