I prefer to use photobucket. Free to open an account, put your pictures on there & then copy the image from photobucket & paste it into your post.IH424 wrote:Trying to figure out how to post pics.
or, in the bottom of your posting, click "Upload attachment", click the browse button, find the picture you want & done.

Tried the attachment, said it was invalid. Is there a pic file size limit?

If you tried to upload a picture here using the forums upload feature I don't think that's been enabled. You have to have the pictures somewhere else like PhotoBucket and put a link to that picture in the post. It's free and it's not that hard. Register, upload pictures to your photobucket account and choose a picture that you want to display in your post. When you put your cursor over the picture a menu will been displayed. Put your cursor over the bottom choice, it's the one that says IMG Code. Click it and it'll say "copied. Then come to your post and figure out where you want the picture, put your cursor there, right click and choose "paste". That hyperlink will turn into a picture once you post. Remember one thing about photobucket. If you upload pictures to photobucket and hyperlink them to a forum they should never be moved from that point to a different place in photobucket or the hyperlink's path will be broken the picture won't work anymore.IH424 wrote:Tried the attachment, said it was invalid. This is old news because I use the forum upload all the time straight from my computer picture files.

Give it a shot if you get a chance, as even the file is automatically resized when it is too large.

Very nice. I love the look of wartime stocks. There's just something about them trying to conserve metal and time that hits home. Like us making pennies out of steel.
You see in this world there are two kinds of people my friend, those with loaded guns... and those who dig. You dig.

Nice looking 91/30's

Thanks. I gave my dad the darker one. We put 45 rounds through it when he came to see me at Christmas. Of course I had "test fired" it a few time before...

Those are really nice looking ones, I like the darker ones myself.

Years ago a slightly geek friend of mine was telling me a story about a Klingon blood blade or something like that, every time the Klingon killed someone with it the blade turned darker. So you would know a Klingon was a bad motherf****** by the darkness of his blade. The story went something like that anyway, most of it flew right in one ear and out the other, but the blood blade was retained. Maybe the Mosin stock is like that, the more death the rifle has caused the darker the finish gets. It would account for the almost black finish on some of the Finn Mosins
