I'd guess based on what I've seen, "todays market" $525 +/- $50. Some things come into play here, condition, the year made or lack of year stamp, even location. A Chinese that sells here for 450, the exact thing may sell for 350 somewhere else. Condition, original shipping grease and unfired could garner an few extra bucks vs. one thats been to the range a million times. Matching numbers are another plus, but it's something I wouldn't consider as a true deal breaker.

On the year, some are less common than others, an undated one or a '76 dated would possibly bring a little more than say a 1977 Albanian. The '67 and '68 models are also known to have much better looking stocks, which could influence price slightly.

No one knows the true numbers, some have studied and researched. Some say many were destroyed by NATO or the UN Forces, other say some were shipped to a 3rd world country in trade for who knows what, they just vanished I guess. :vconfused: The figures below are best guess based on serial surveys etc. The one thing the bottom chart does not figure in, bubba rifles :very mad: , so there could be even less in original form remaining.
(figures gathered and put together by Glen Burton)
Estimated production of Albanians
1967- 980
1968- 570
1969- 2800
1970- 2980
1971- 2620
1976- 160
1977- 660
1978- 4960
1979- 800
Undated- 420
Best guess is that, according to year produced, current world inventory may be:
1967- 320
1968- 180
1969- 970
1970- 1100
1971- 860
1976- 50
1977- 220
1978- 1850
Undated- 150

If you were to find one in, say the 400 range or better yet, less, run, don't walk, cause it will disappear once someone else starts sniffing around. :pointleft:

These are really cool sks's with there extra storage trap in the butt, AK style charger and full length handgurad they are unique. Chrome lined bores as well. Defiantly a good investment if the price is right. I got my few back when AIM had a great deal on them. the one in pics is a no date. ImageImageImage

Most of the best original Russians are starting around $500. That one should be no less...rarity and function. :2cents:

Albanians have gotten really few and far between lately...only about 3 have been seen on GunBroker the past couple of months, the average sale price on them was just north of 650. It has become one if you run across one in the 5-600 range, snag it, if you want it.

I bought a '78 all matching when they and the Chinese came in back in 2012. I posted it here on the forum at that time. $699.00 wouldn't buy mine but if the one in the shop is all matching and in good shape it might be a good investment.
