Yeah well I have a cat, and a WIFE!!! ;-)

Let's just say that when the single 380 I bought with my wife knowing turned into 4 pistols and 2 rifles and she "found" them it was not a comfortable situation!

Just take a firm stand, tell her that you are the man of the house and you will damn well buy whatever guns you think necessary for the protection of the family! we will send some first class flowers to your funeral
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

We wouldn't be able to enjoy the full spectacle unless you arranged to film it :)

It was not pretty. It was a text from my son saying, "Dad, Mom found your guns, you're dead."

Very nice

I've found that the women in our lives just need to understand how important these rifles are not just to us, but to history. That's why I sat down and fully explained to her why I felt the need to collect them, and she agreed!

That's why every other Mosin goes to my mom's. Mrs. Blanket would kill me.

Yeah, well she shoots with me so that is a plus but that is a new thing for her, just a few months. I have to gradually bring her over but for now, no more purcases!

Junk Yard Dog wrote:Why are you sneaking rifles in to the house? I sneak nothing into this house, I bring it in and slap it down on the table, it might stay there for weeks until I find a place to stash it. Nobody says boo about it, of course it's just the cat and I, and the cat could care less what I do so long as the food train keeps coming :)
She'd really get pissed if I left them on the table(s) and now stacking them in the bedroom is starting to infer with her cleaning around the house...
If I could only get her to oil them down like she does the other furniture?

If you let her oil your rifles you won't be allowed to set your coffee down on them!

You bring them in from the garage and when she asks why you bought a new rifle you tell her you've had it and just had it out in the garage cleaning it. You can sneak the bayonet and other goodies in later. And, don't forget to put the box in your car/truck and take it to the dumpster at work.
