That's a nice looking rifle, hope my second one comes out like that one. And a cleaning rod to boot!
How's the bore look? I've finally finished cleaning mine as far as I'm going to before I start shooting it. Bore cleaned up really well, dark groves towards the end of barrel and pitting but a range day will tell

The rifling looks great, actually ran a little oil in the barrel with a swab and it isn't even dark too bad, yeah I was surprised about the rod too, no numbers match but that's ok, knew it wouldn't anyway. If it turns out to be a good shooter based on the bore looking pretty good, I'm really stoked about this one! And yeah I know about getting more....I got one of the Chinese mausers coming !
And I also broke down and got another ccw pistol the other day, didn't have a revolver with s small enough barrel so got a +P rated .38 snubby for myself.

Definitely let us know about the Chinese Mausers
I think I'm probably going to keep buying one a month until I either get one that's crap or he runs out

My stuff is across the board, some surplus and some modern. Really just depends on the application of what I'll be using it for. Granted when I was a poor college kid I did carry a P64 for awhile

I have been carrying my M&P 40 compact or a Zastava M88A compact 9mm...wanted something lighter so the little snubby I got actually has a polymer frame, really nice. I can't pass over another 8mm Mauser of sorts to add to my collection, it'll be another roll of the dice but a little more money.

I'm a Glock fanboy myself, but need to get a snub nose revolver for back up carry. But can't save money cause I keep ordering these rifles.
Anyone else bite the bullet and buy a T53 yet?

You were saying you carried a P64 earlier on, that's one on my list as well....I really want a nagant revolver but gotta wait a couple of months and I'll really steer searching. I just got another T53 before this one, last month, the metal is nicer and numbers match but the stock on this one I got in today is in better shape.
So I sent pics prior to cleaning up, now after cleaning here it is....has some dark spots where there was some rust, not much blueing left, bore is surprisingly bright and has very good rifiling, top handgaurd appears to be different from the rest of the stock, tightened up the bayo spring so it doesn't flop anymore when not extended, overall a good ole warhorse, I'm very pleased and lucked out and even got the cleaning rod lol!

Witchdoctor that stock looks real nice. I may end up buying one of them. For $99 you really can't go wrong. Thanks to inflation, which the government denies exists, $100 Bill doesn't go nearly as far today.
Great wood and nice recovery on it too. Not being picky but you mentioned a cleaning rod. Are you aware that the Chinese cleaning rods are different from the Russian M38 and 44's?

That cleaned up very well, have you had the opportunity to go shoot it yet?
I'm hoping I get a cleaning rod on my next one
