I use one of these flexible graduated oil funnels. Available in most auto parts stores and Wally world.

What I sometimes use when I remember is a small brass funnel made for filling powder flasks for black powder weapons. Dixie gun works sells them, but the spout on the teapot does the job well enough.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
