I haven’t taken it out in a long time partly because I forgot about it. I use my Mossberg 46m most of the time because the ranger is heavy and doesn’t have a very smooth bolt. On the other hand not one of my .22LRs can beat it for accuracy. So I took it out to my range and sighted it in then had some fun. It drives tacks at 30 yards. I was shooting 7.62x54r cases off of the target stand with no problem. At 100 yards I can shoot a good enough group to hit coke cans. It’s a great rife just not something you would want to drag around the woods.

Nice rifle and some good shooting. Be nice to have young eyes again. I have a Winchester Model 250 that I used to use shotgun shells for targets to shoot at from about the same distance. I could shoot the primers out of them. That was then. I still have the rifle and it's probably still just as accurate but I'm not, lol. Enjoy it while you're young. So nice to see an old rifle like this out doing it's thing.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
