Turner's and the larger gun stores are way too high in So Cal. The $75.00 quoted to you is about as good as you can do in this area. When necessary try and stick to the "mom and pop" small dealers as they generally have the best prices but $75 is probably the cheapest you will find unfortunately.deoxys987 wrote:I called my local gun shop and I wanted to buy an M44 online that's 199.99, and Turners the gun shop wanted 150.00 for a FFL dealer transfer. Isn't that redicilous? I called ammo brothers, another local shop and they wanted 75.00 for the FFL transfer. Isn't that pretty high in price, even for California?
Best suggestion is get that C&R application in ASAP and bypass that FFL01 requirement even on C&R guns and if you have Mosinitis you are going to need it. Unfortunately in CA it doesn't help on a handgun, you have to go through an FFL01 regardless, unless it's an antique.
