Sniper scopes......

Post by JoeR »

Today I got an email from a vendor that I signed up to get their emails. Here's the ad, " Upgrade your Mosin Nagant to a Sniper Rifle. Includes scope and mount, NEW $149.99 " :b sad:
I can see the "cheapo they made millions of them rifle" being hacked into wanna be snipers already. :big shock: I have faith that none of the forum folks here would do that. I could see buying real scopes that pop up now and then just to collect scopes but that would be a high $ hobby and the risk of buying a knock off is always there just like rifles. I'll stick to lurking, it's safer because I have already made enough bad buys not having the knowledge and my mistakes were so bad that I won't even tell what they were.
I have learned so much hear and continue to do so whether it be a MN or a black powder weapon. 8-)

Bubba has been playing with that kind of crap for 50 years or more. The only thing that holds it up from being worse is that few of these Bubba's who would buy that shit can drill a hole, own a drill, know how to fit a bit into the drill, or plug it in.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Hahahaha, I can see it now, they break a drill bit in the gun and they just throw it away ( gun and drill ) :chuckles: and try again until get butcher one together then try to find a mark to inject it into since it's a one of a kind MN sniper....

Fortunately very few Bubbas have the skill to create a fake that will pass even basic muster with someone who doesn't know the PU, the fakes we know were made overseas by people who had some skill.

I've seen a MN91-30 with a broken drill bit in it for sale at a gun show for $95.00 last year. I was tempted to buy it for spare parts but he would not come down on price to $50.00 which was what I thought it was worth after being ruined. He claimed it wasn't him that did it but he had other stuff that had been messed with too.JGC
