mini 14 trigger

Post by Buckhead »

Finely got to the range with my mini and was surprised with the grouping at 50 yds.
I mentioned in a earlier post that I picked this gun up used but was not able to get
to the range. After what I read about the gun on some of the other forums that it
was not very accurate. I think it must just be shooter error, because at 50 yds.
I was shooting 5 round groups about the size of a base ball with a periodic flier after
the barrel heated up. When I went to 100 yds. it was not quite as good. I think the trigger
could use some work that would surely help. After 100 rounds of tula 55 grn. FMG the tip
of my finger was feeling it I also think acu-struts would help with the vibration and the heat
issue, I will give both a try. Other then that I was very :D that I bought it. I got a good deal
at $ 400.00 so I can afford to put a little extra money in it. I think a little polishing on the sear
and a lite coat of oil will help with the trigger and $95.00 acu-struts will do me just fine.

It's a dam sight better than some other 5.56mm shooters I can think of :)
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.
