Finally, a scope mount worth getting, yay

Post by projster »

I have tried every scope mount imaginable.. they either required too much alteration or weren't sturdy enough.
I found this guy making custom ones that fit perfectly replacing the rear iron sight. I made a youtube video of myself installing one, but I am definitely no cameraman as you an see.

Anyway, for all of you buying the crappy ATI and other mounts, you really need to check this one out. Very solid and easy to install.

Welcome to the forum, it's always good to see scope mounts that do not alter the rifle, but what happened to your stock?

Thanks! I put the ATI monte carlo stock on it. You should see the one I am working on now. Still using the BullseyeXpress Mosin Mount, but I shortened the barrel by 6 inches and shortened the original stock also. Image

He isn't altering the rifle in a permanent way des, the one sport rifle I see he has looks like a 50's Bubba job. There are many members here who take off the original stocks, and replace them with plastic so not to damage them while out hunting in the woods, and no permanent alteration scope mounts are in keeping with forum policy.

Ah, well, if that shows up on the board he will get blasted for it, and the thread removed as with any Bubba bullshit. However I am waiting to see if the rifle he butchered up was that Bubba rifle he has in the pic, or if he took a real milsurp and hacked it.

No, it seems he is working on budda'ing ANOTHER one that we haven't seen yet. Already took 6 inches out of the barrel and hacked the stock.

The middle one is already done for.
