Ive been searching and reading for a while now on the Mosin snipers offered by Rguns and ATI.
Is the general consensus still that Rguns are known real snipers, and the ATI origins are still unknown at this time??
Im planning to buy one soon, but just want confirmation that the Rguns snipers are the way to go.
thanks,
clay

Re: Simple question: Rguns or ATI sniper?
I'd stay away from ATI for now. It is up in the air about their snipers and where they came from. I know the RGUNS snipers are $100 more, but in my book they will always be worth it as they have a documented past and trail as to where they came from and who imported them. And it is an independent source that is an expert in the field .....Vic Thomas.
ATI...? Well ???
Your choice, take a chance???

Re: Simple question: Rguns or ATI sniper?
i have $200 in my old peanut jar and i have my C&R 03 FFL. as soon as i get the rest i am buying an RGUNS sniper as it is my holy grail. then i gotta chose either an M39 carbine ,or M44 or M 53. i could buy all 3 carbines for price of sniper, but i would still need to get the sniper before i can't get one.dolk wrote:I'd stay away from ATI for now. Re: Simple question: Rguns or ATI sniper?
You can't compare two snipers and say that ATI is better or worse. You are only comparing two rifles.kermit wrote:check thread--- PU pix by mantis----. it shows both rguns and ATI.
One could have been very heavily used during WWII and it went to RGUNS and another hardly ever used and never came out of the barracks and it went to ATI.
Fact is, the condition of RGUNS snipers are usually very sound and nice. You know where they came from and how they got here and that makes them more valuable as a collector because they are trusted more.
