Steyr M95

Post by Ghost Rider »

I picked up this steyr a little over a week ago. The previous owner had refinished the stock with varnish, and also thought it was a good idea to varnish all of the metal parts as well, everything was varnished. He did a good job on the stock so I left it as is, but I removed the varnish from all of the metal parts and that really improved the appearance of the rifle

Half of the ammo clips are Nazi stamped, and all of the ammo is stamped 1939.

That one is sweet have fun with it
I have two one is a carbine with the short site, and the other is a cut down.
Ether way they are fun to shoot. A bit expensive for ammo and the Natzie stuff
is collectible. Go to Numrich arms and get you self a spare extractor if you plan
on shooting a lot. I broke one even when I was using the clip. Nice gun tho.
I think Privi ammo is about the cheapest.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

He varnished the metal? Did you ask why?
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

I bought the rifle at a pawn shop, so I don`t know who the previous owner was. But I sure wouldn`t mind knowing why or what they were thinking when they varnished the metal.
