Re: I need some good news guys!
OK, well from what I can see in a hurry here.
The scope is real.
The mount is a reproduction mount.
Can't tell about the base unless you take the scope mount off and take a photo of it.
I can't tell if the rifle was a standard M91/30, or ex sniper, or a real sniper. Not without a photo of the barrel shank on the left side.
(preliminary shows no "proof marks" in that area (but very hard to tell). Proof marks up high is a good sign.
Photo should look like this

Photos not good enough to tell about the bolt or not. Need a clear photo up closer of the bend (from the back).
Anyone see different?

Well from a learning point i would a said the mount is an area that didn't look good so it is nice to know for me that i was right but it sucks for the OP.

Good luck with the R guns,

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Re: I need some good news guys!
OK, So we had another gun show today here in LA (around New Orleans) I drove out that way and brought my fake mosin along with me in hopes of trading it or selling it. As soon as i walked through the door I seen the guy who sold me this "real sniper mosin nagant" I contronted him about it and he said it was just a huge "mix up" I traded it in for an rguns one! This one looks like the real deal from the hours of research i've done on this site. Plus it has that rguns stamp on it. I laser bore sighted it in as soon as i got home today and tomm first thing i'm going shoot her
I will make antoher thread with pics and a range report for you guys as soon as i can.
Thanks for being so welcoming here guys!
Oh yeah BTW I do have something bad to say about this mosin community though...Why didnt anyone warn me these things are so additive! I told my wife this was the last rifle I would buy...I HAD meant it when I said it. But nowww things are differnt. I have a list of more mosins I will try to obtain in the future
Shame on all you guys!

Re: I need some good news guys!
Well that is just Way Cool. Glad you got what you were after. Sounds like a decent guy...maybe. Good luck on the last one though. Do you have a carbine yet? Oh and don't forget the finnish ones.

Re: I need some good news guys!
I'm looking at the pics of your first sniper. The rifle is a sniper rifle. It's prefix is a known block of 1944 Izhevsk snipers. As pointed out already above, even though we can't see the scope number or a scrubbed area, it's "circle Y" proof mark is high upon the barrel shank. The scope is real, but even the fake century import snipers had real scopes. I dont like the scope mount, it's probably a post war replacement mount. Base looks OK from the pictures. The bolt handle also looks good to me.
All in all, I think everyone would agree that for $900 you did much, much better with the RGun's PU.
